22re wiring..

anyone good with Toyota fuel injection.. ive been messing with this Toyota and no luck so far. it runs but rough and no power. almost like its missing on number 3. ive changed the plugs. no change. messed around with harness. the truck is rough.

my truck is an 86....i could take a look or probably even bring it out to compare side to side....have you use a temp gun to verify its number 3? check you check valve adjustemnets/not a flat lobe ect?

Nope on the temp gun. Just pulled the plug wire and no change in running. The timming is all messed up. I tryed to set it at 5deg btc but it was to retarted. And back fired and popped. So I might pull the cover and check the timing marks. Or just pull the motor and take it apart.

did you make sure to disconnect the deal for the timing advance? it needs to be about 8 degrees if i remember with the wire disconnected what year is yours there is a big difference IMO between the digital and analog systems, I put a cap and rotor ect on mine and it changed the timing enough that i had to retime it also make sure the temp gauge is reading if its a later system
