While installing new upper control arm bushings in the axle, I was getting pissed at my jeep for not playing nice and forgot to put something in the mount to keep it from collapsing. So what do I do now? The bracket is squished together pretty good. I posted this question on CherokeeForum and just was told to bend it back open and plate it. Is that my best option or should I get a strong mount and replace the stock one?

i would cut it off and get the aftermarket one that factory one looks like tin foil

Get some 10ga plate and tie the two front edges together to mimick the folded rear and call it done. There isn't a tremendous load on that UCA mount (thus the wimpy looking factory design).
