Like I needed another Jeep. . .



Well. . I did. Daughter is turning 16 so we need another ride and the WJ is getting a little long in the tooth. We scored a SMOKIN' deal on this WK2 up in Kirkland. Dang thing got 23mpg on the way home.

O and I will continue our daily treks to the office, but this ride will warm wifey's buns on her way to and fro. . .

And that is how my raise gets spent. . .LOL

daughter getting the wj i assume you werent able to sell it? there is a guy from the wet side i believe that has a hemi wj (i think) that he got rolled its on around 35s and beats the hoo ha out of it very very capable rig

Actually, I decided against selling it. I had a couple of offers, but the cost/benefit and hassle wasn't worth searching out another rig for her.

The WK2 doesn't even have low range. It is a fully optioned Loredo. . .so: Leather, Nav, Sunroof, Hard drive, Bluetooth, etc. . .but none of the really cool 4x4 stuff. That was intentional so I won't want to wheel it. Basically, it is Mall/Practice/Snow and. . .its primary purpose will be to cradle us on our legendary road trips.

NO Hemi. . .the 3.6VVT motor has more power than the 4.7 in the WJ plus gets crazy good gas mileage. I researched this thing for the better part of a year before pulling the trigger. It is a major cost so I wanted to make sure it did just what I needed it to while making wifey extremely happy with the comfort level. Heck, it even has "DVR" kind of functionality on the radio. . .pause/play/rewind live radio. . .pretty cool shiz.

Interesting facts:

It has an electric power steering pump
The battery is under the passenger's seat
You never have to take the key out of your pocket. It has an RF chip in the fob so that when you touch the door handle, it unlocks and then it activates the ignition just by hitting a button. Same thing on the way out. When you get out, you shut the door and touch a little button on the outside of the handle. If the key is in your pocket, it locks the doors.

Needless to say, I bought the extended warranty.

That same motor is in the 2012+ Wrangler
