Tragic Loss in the Peak Putter Extended Family

Postby OldGreen » Sun Jun 09, 2013 1:24 pm

Bill and Sherri Retterer who are the Brother and Sister-In-Law of Lee and Chris Retterer and uncle to the Jeeper Chicks, were tragically lost in a car accident last night on their way home from a kayaking trip near Naches.

I'm sure that I speak for the entire club and extended Peak Putter family when I say that we are here for ANYTHING that needs to be done including just providing some distraction from the chaos.

Lee and Chris,
Please take comfort in knowing that the thoughts and prayers of our entire community of Putters are with you and your family. They are especially with the children that remain to carry on Bill and Sherri's legacy.

We love you guys and stand ready to lend a hand or even a shoulder. . .

Thank you.
Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.

Susan, Steve, and I have you and the family in our hearts, and know that we are just overwhelmed by this loss. ..Godspeed Bill and Sherri.

Sorry to hear of this. I know you have plenty willing ears to talk to and shoulders to cry on already but know that we can be counted in that group too.

Dave and Jose... thank you so much. You were there when just being there was what I needed.

Other Putters and friends, thank you for your prayers, wishes etc. Trust that I'll take you up on that 'anything'. This is a very hard time for my family and for my brother's brother. I really appreciate the support.

Not carved in stone yet (worst metaphor ever) but I believe the service for my brother and his wife will be Friday at 11:00AM at Holy Spirit Parish on Clearwater in Kennewick. I'll keep everyone posted.

We will be spreading some of his ashes in a favorite spot of his in the mountains. If so, I'll probably call a run.

Please

Postby iaccocca » Mon Jun 10, 2013 10:01 pm

I want to beg a huge favor. A lot of Putters have offered up 'ANYTHING' and I hope this falls in that wheel house. I want to drive my Jeep to my brother and sister's funeral , but my fuel pump is shot, and getting worse. I'll have new one here tomorrow afternoon. My hope is Wednesday night or Thursday night I can take it to someones driveway, or shop, or whatever and get it swapped out. If someone can help with this it would be huge. And by help, please note I will be worthless. If not, I understand.

I've got to make it into town this week. I can bring my tools and do the swap in your driveway if no one else is available. Should be a quick job.

The last time I saw my brother he was helping me work on my Jeep in my driveway. The last conversation I had with him, he called to find out when the Liberty run is. Today is the viewing of him and his wife. I'm going there to be with my family, but I am not going to the viewing. Bill will always be the guy smiling and giving me $h!t while turning wrenches on my Jeep. Forever.
