At that time the only really good tire available was the Armstrong TruTrac, and about all we had for traction enhancement were limited slips. If I had to guess, I'd say that was either up on Blue Ridge southeast of Coos Bay, or up in the Elliot State Forest east of Lakeside. Both were less than a half hour from our house in North Bend.
