Personal Use Firewood Made Available on Naches Ranger District
Naches— Personal use firewood is being made available by the U.S. Forest Service on Saturday September 7th from wood cleared for firelines on the Conrad Lake Fire. Roughly 70-100 cords of mixed forest wood, consisting mostly of lodgepole pine, Douglas-fir, western larch, and grand fir, will be available to the public Saturday at the Minnie Meadows Campground from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m..

Persons holding a valid 2013 Personal Use Firewood Permit are invited to remove up to two cords of wood on September 7th. District Ranger Irene Davidson has waived the requirement for splitting rounds greater than 8â€

Firewood Retrieval Postponed on Naches Ranger District
Naches— Due to predicted rain over the upcoming weekend, the firewood retrieval planned for September 7th is now going to be postponed to Saturday September 14th. With anticipated precipitation in the area, forest managers determined it necessary to delay the retrieval date to prevent potential resource damage to the Minnie Meadows campground area.

Personal use firewood is being made available from wood cleared for firelines on the Conrad Lake Fire. Roughly 70-100 cords of mixed forest wood, consisting mostly of lodgepole pine, Douglas-fir, western larch, and grand fir, will be available to the public Saturday at the Minnie Meadows Campground from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
