What do the guys that know suggest?

Also, what is the simplest/least invasive option?

Price doesn't hurt either...

Have had Norton, Kaspersky and Mcafee...

Norton and Mcafee both were PAINS to uninstall after they expired, in fact I just found some Norton updater running in the background last week and I haven't had it installed in 4 years!

Microsoft Security Essentials... free and simple. It can impact performance a bit on older/slower machines, but that's the case with most all antivirus programs. AVG Free edition would be my second choice.

Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes Pro (both at the same time).

I believe that Norton is a virus. It took many attempts to remove it and I still get pop-up like things from Norton telling me to update their software.

I run nothing. But I'm careful where I surf and I don't tend to click on random things. Danielle is a facebooker and clicks on everything posted. She has computer issues...

The free version of AVG. I run that and the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. I have never paid for anti-virus.

I uninstall/delete every other antivirus from my computers and install the Avast! free edition. Works great! It is far less intrusive than any other I have tried, and doesnt seem to slow it down.

Installed MS, gonna give Dave's suggestion a chance...

Was looking for something that runs itself, don't have time anymore to babysit the computer. Will see if something more is needed.

Saw this too late to make a suggestion, but mine was the same as Dave's. Can't go wrong with Microsoft Security Essentials, low impact, reliable, free. I've even got It running on some really old machines at work with no problems.
