Flat Towing Your Jeep - Tips and Tricks?

I've got a Class C motor home with a 5000lb tow limit... so putting my 4500lb LJ on my ~2000lb car trailer exceeds my current tow limits.
I could flat tow my LJ but my bumper is WAY above the level of my RV hitch. Even when using an inverted drop hitch (~10in), my tow bar is still below the recommended "level" position. So... I'm contemplating the addition of some sort of removable tow bar attachment point below my bumper... and am curious if any of you have conquered this little quandry?
And... if you flat tow your rig... what braking system do you use in it?
Thanks for any suggestions you care to provide.
