Without knowing you're AutoCAD background (sorry if over simplified), try...

As stated above, at least one of the other lines should be identified in either the legal desciption or plat.

Units set to Surveyor
Limits to bigger than site dimensions

Even with out the eastings and westings of the (2) end lines, it should be possible to correctly draw the (2) known sides. Then draw each end line to the specified length and use Move, Rotate and trial and error to locate the end lines relative to the known sides.

If still sane, CAD will tell you everything else you need to know using Area and Dimensions.

Here's how I found that diagonal. SQRT[(316.86X317.25)+(659.88X656.13)]. That's the equation I used and forgot to give you.

Here's how I found the "c" diagonal.

(316.86x317.25) + (656.13x659.88)= your diagonal squared

Lud do you know the name of the formula you used off hand?

Mattawa your logic is sound. I hadn't considered combining the two triangles and solving for the one area. If you could reduce it down to a solvable equation I think you'd have it. You'll have to draw on your rules for exponents and factoring. I agree it doesn't look like its going to lend itself to being a quadratic equation. I also slept through the part of cubics....

Still think looking up the plat would be easier though. Years of surveying and engineering say use the computer when you can cause math is hard

Of course now we have ourselves a math challenge that needs to be resolved. Since I love math I may try this one and see if I can work it out.
