I'm considering wandering out to Juniper on Monday for a little shake down.

Have to work until 1100, what time are you going?

It'll be afternoon. Might be moving slow in the AM due to Sunday night festivities. I'll PM you my number.

I'd be interested in a Juniper run on Monday. Wife is working so i'll be free at 11am too. Post it up in the upcoming events section, maybe we can get some more people to come?

do we need anything to use the area, discover pass or what not?

what's wrong dave? just got out from under mine.

while we were out at juniper i kept hearing a nasty noise while going up hills. sounded sorta dead center or front like something was loose. what i found was a loose nut on the adjustabler drivers side lower control arm, aft end by the tcase. i'm thinking it may have stripped the threads inside the arm itself. i tightened the nut and the noise has gone away but i fear it will return. any thoughts?

btw, if you don't have another person with you to look under you vehicle while you release the clutch to find said noises i have found a solution. if you happen to have one of those fancy phones or an ipad or tablet use the camera feature and reverse the camera. use the video mode to record what's going on.

with these noises and being under vehicles in mind, what say we have an inspection day of each other's vehices during the next meeting, at my place.

goes something like this. everyone brings their rigs. we jack it up and put it on stands. everyone crawls around unerneath looking for potential issues. if we can fix it we do. if we can't the individual at least knows of the issue.

Sounds good to me. I have a bothersome noise under my Jeep, no not one of those regular TJ noises, that I would like more eyes and ears on. I have a graduation to go to first that day, so I'll be running a little late, but if you guys are still playing that game I'll have something for you to lay under.

i was wandering if is should weld it or tighten, the threads where the nut is are still good, and drill and run a pin through it. i'll probably pull it apart tonight and check it. what i don't know is since the nut moved a hair, is it in the correct position?

Shoe horn anyone? Being overweight was finally a good thing since it took Scumby and I sitting on the bumper to get this out without taking the roof off the trailer. I still don't know how he got in and out of it....
