Well,
this sure went downhill fast.

For the sake of the group and its focus on "friendship", it would be better if politics and religion are kept off this board entirely.

That's most sophisticated than Ricky Bobby's father's inspirational words... If you ain't first, you're last. Use that line on your old lady sometime and see where that gets you

Pride...

“There are two kinds of pride, both good and bad. 'Good pride' represents our dignity and self-respect. 'Bad pride' is the deadly sin of superiority that reeks of conceit and arrogance.â€
Lance

"There can be no greater issue than that of conservation in this country. Just as we must conserve our men, women and children, so we must conserve the resources of the land on which they live. We must conserve the soil so that our children shall have a land that is more and not less fertile than our fathers dwelt in. We must conserve the forests, not by disuse, but by use, making them more valuable at the same time that we use them. We must conserve the mines. Moreover, we must insure so far as possible the use of certain types of great natural resources for the benefit of the people as a whole. " --Theodore Roosevelt

It's real nice. I got it at Target. It was on sale.
Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.

It's not about what gets you to the top, it's about the ride and the friendship along the way

I think it's a great quote....
and worthy of the club motto....

Each member's "top" does not have to be the same, nor does the journey to get there......
There "is" room for all levels of skill, passion, investment and interest. Cohesiveness is accomplished when both union and diversity can be embraced.

“Perhaps, if you weren't so busy regarding my shortcomings, you'd find that I do possess redeeming qualities, discreet as they may be. I notice when the sky is blue. I smile down at children. I laugh at any innocent attempt at humor. I quietly carry the burdens of others as though they were my own. And I say 'I'm sorry' when you don't. I am not without fault, but I am not without goodness either.â€
