Brown santa dropped off my IPF housings today, Now what am I gunna fill them with?

Whatever you do make sure they're aimed properly. Vehicle height plays a large part in this.

Ddm doesn't allow linking to optioned setups so your links are the same.

If you want to stay with incandescent go to your local parts store and get some Wagner 80/100 watt bulbs and upgrade to relayed harnesses to power them.

If going hid click one of those ddm links and option it with dual in/out harness, 55 watts and 4300k temp and you'll be in business.

These are the way to go. I've had these on two jeeps and are very happy with the output.

The Super Clear bulbs perform at an optically equivalent level of a 195/150 watt bulb even though it has a low beam draw of only 80 watts and high beam draw of 60 watts.

Much brighter and way less amp draw. Not cheep but they are really worth it. The cheap ones don't last long off road. I've had a few of the 190/130 from JC Whitneys and the vibrations always kill them.

The elements on these are designed for off road abuse.

Fixed the link. Didn't mean to link to DDM twice. They don't qualify for the high quality label, though they do work well for the price.

Is that DDM kit a plug and play type of deal, or do you have to cut and splice?
Drew, I had the fatboys in my amazon cart the other day. Haha, funny thing, quadrapuke is cheaper even with my prime acct.

They were designed around the IPF housings you already have.

I have both and swear by them.

The Hella housings are really good too.

The only other thing I would go with would be the new LED housings. But they are not cheap I'm sure they are worth it. Just not ready to drop that much coin :shock:

Dual in/out harness is plug and play. All you have to do is mount the ballasts and relays and run the + and - wires. I had the xb converted in about 5 minutes flat.

No splicing, the wiring harness hooks to the battery and then plugs into one of your factory lightbulb plugs to get the signal from your switches.

Holy cow those fatboy bulbs are expensive. Frome a price standpoint, you'd probably be better off going with another super clear bulb from a reliable manufacturer. Narva, osram etc...

I know alot of people run the DDM, but reading the reviews about the frequent ballast failures kinda concerns me. I would like to have quality and longevity, I will definately put a relay in, no matter what bulb/kit I do. I just want a good white light. Not blue/yellow but white. I will stay under 5k on temp. thanks for the input gentleman and ryan. :lol:

I have 2 DDM kits, and haven't had any problems with ballasts. The bulbs haven't been lasting as long as I would like however. If you want some of the highest quality component's look at the retrofit source kit I linked in my first post.

Don hasn't had any issues with the kit in his stoopiduty in the last 3 years. I've had mine well over a year.

The ddm harness has relays built into it.

Yea we went and drug it home Saturday. We hooked up a couple pair of jumper cables to it off the dodge and it fired right up and drove onto the trailer. It couldn't have gone much easier than it did.

He went over to the wet side and picked up a 4.6 for a project and hit a spot of black ice on the way home. The engine survived just fine since it fell out and landed on the flex plate. The truck is very fix able but the insurance totaled it since the engine wouldn't run... One of the dome light switches stuck and drained the batteries. :lol:

I went around and opened and shut all 4 doors slamming them shut and the lights went out. That's another thing, the window frames on the passenger side are bent at about a 45* to the doors and they still function. That's a testament to the body quality and design!
