If you're wondering... Treating my Buick 231 with Motor Medic got rid of my lifter/rocker noise.
Maybe I had some junk in my lifters?
Maybe I should change my oil a little more frequent?
I doubt I go more than 2K miles between oil changes, but the 2K are rough miles.

If you figure those are all low speed miles. Every hour is equal to 30 miles. I usually Change the oil in my bronco once a year. I'm sure it's less then 1000 miles but most at pretty low speeds and usually working hard.

Lower end noise sounds scary... Bearings. I thought the 4.2 were built proof on the main bearings.

I change the Toy's oil at least ounce a year and add a couple of quarts during the year. It sure seems like it gets black pretty fast. Maybe I should change it spring and fall.

If you'd run a detergent oil such as del 400 or Rotella t you wouldn't have to use that crap to clean the gunk out.

If there is a next time just replace a quart or two of engine oil with atf on the next oil change and you'll accomplish the same thing as that bottle of voodoo.
