Rob, you get a new winch too?

Will your winch hold that much 3/8" line?

Ive got more than that right now. :D The Superwinch EPI 9.0 series came with 125 ft of 5/16 steel cable. Also happens to have an external drum brake which keeps down the heat on synthetic cable. That's why I bought this winch.

I contacted Superwinch and Winchline and they told me I should be able to run 100ft at 3/8" thickness. Also got a new hawse fairlead and a license plate mount for it. I'll install it on Friday.

Hook it up!
For those that find this post googling, your winch drum will heat up synthetic rope if you power out unless you have a winch like Lud's. It is like driving with your parking brake on.

Installed a new Bestop Black Diamond Sailcloth Top. Was able to put it on myself with no problems after letting it sit out in the heat.

The hardest part is cutting out the old upper door skins.

The tinted windows are nice. Also I can take all the hardware off in seconds with the Bestop quick release knuckles instead of all the scrappy torx screws.

Yes 100 feet of 3/8 synthetic winch line does fit on a SuperWinch Epi 9500.

Does putting new brakes on the front of the Expedition count? This weekend I'm mounting new tires on the riding mower, am I getting closer?

When my 10 year old ARB compressor finally dies I'll go with one of those. Good buy Lee.

that's the one i have attached to a 2 gallon reserve tank. now, where are you going to mount it. it's also the one that has undersized connectors for the compressors. my connectors were melted so i replaced them with ring terminals with screws and nuts.

I finally pulled the trigger, because M.O.R.E. came up with an under-hood mount.

I'll have to remember that. Where does the compressor mount.? My current compressor is mounted where the abs module should be but I was lucky enough not to have a TJ with ABS so there's a nice little shelf there.

to me it seems to be an awful warm place to mount a compressor that has no lubrication.

My current compressor has been in the same spot since 2006. Never had a problem with it. They're sealed pretty well.

Oh guess I should add another buy for the Jeep.

Ordered some front end parts and picked up a couple things at six states. Trying to make the wheeler drive decent on the road again.
