Pics of Big Hill on lower Glass Creek Trail

Postby SPR » Thu Jul 09, 2015 9:37 am

Here are a few pictures of us getting up the big hill on Glass Creek. Lance was able to claw his way up the hill. He only had 5 cylinders popping.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a tree saver suppose to be used even with rope? I know it's better than cable but still puts a lot of stress in a small area of the tree, where the wider strap distributes it a bit more.

Please keep the pictures coming.

Edit: disturbs to distributes

Perhaps I should have used the tugging strap, but I thought the thick padded section of his rope would be sufficient. There wasn't mark left on the tree when we were done.

i would think a wider strap would disturb it less.
