Very lame indeed. Don't they remember we voted for the $35.00 car tab initiative? I wonder if they remember they don't emission test in the Tri-Cities. I don't want to remind them, if they forgot! If that passes, would they tack that onto our licence tabs? I wonder if I can buy 3 or 4 years worth of license tabs in advance! at least for the moteehome!

I think the way things are with the general US economy any senator involved would be commiting political suicide with this bill.

From what I heard this is kinda like the old tax that people voted to get rid of just with a new spin.

The higher gas tax they have here already gets more money from vehicles that go through more fuel. With the new tax its like double dipping. This would kill businesses and farmers in this state.

They've been talking how the state has had budget surpluses the last few years. Do they need more money??

I have contacted Sen. Delvin, and he is very much against this bill. Guess we best get busy with the e-mails...

The bill had better exclude RVs. After all, it is mostly older folks who own RVs and who do most of the voting. It would be political suicide to piss that group off.

It excludes RV's, but the point here is the idiots are working on an end run on laws passed by us, in a fair vote. This means I get to pay damn near a grand to put tags on two cars. One is ten years old, and the other fifteen. If it does get out of committee, I hope the Senate votes it down, but as they are mostly democraps, I doubt it. And if it's challenged, the dem appointed judges will side with these ecofreak liberals. Then there's 6881 and 6901 to deal with. The west side socialists are not going to let those go down without a fight, either...They'll just keep reintroducing them every year.

Just recieved an e-mail from Sen. Delvin. This bill is still in committee, and there are a few days left, so it may make it, it may not. Keep up the pressure...

It didn't get killed in referal, and is now in Trasportation. Delvin is on that committee, so lets give him as much ammo as we can.

This bill is now dead in the water----we are safe for now. The Lamocrats were testing the water to see if this was something they could push through. Don't be suprised if they try again next year or the year after---probably change the name or try to hide it in another bill/initiative.
Thanks Crustine G.----so up-front and honest. This would suck for the average Joe who has an old pickup that they only use a few times a year to haul yard waste to the dump. Not fair play.

I got a kick out their slimmy press release. Apparently, they had no intention to passing this bill. They just wanted us to become aware of vehicle emmisions and the effect on the enviroment. Then why exclude RVs? My farts aren't as fowl as that bullshit.... Pinkeye is right on the money...they're testing the waters for stupidity :x

All this green stuff is pretty much a bunch of crap the way they are handling it. It's just aimed at the little people. The fat cats get exempted on everything. Joe Schmoe that needs his beater pickup to get to work pays through the nose for his 350 chevy p/u, but the Al Gore's of the world just slide by without paying for their RV's, and buy more "carbon credits" so they can continue living like they always have. Look how much stuff the jet's blow into the air every day. They've already got the Puget Sound priced out of the common folks ability to aford to live there, now they want to get the rest of the state in the same boat. Sigh..... gotta slow the heart down.......................... :)
