Decided to go look for some elk, got up to the gravel pile and was playing around for a min. Got in a funny position and tried to ease out, then over it went, all the way.

Yea it was a complete freak deal, I have been way worse so many times.
I don't know if the springs unloaded or what the deal was to make it go. It was instant, but it never felt like it should have gone.
She let go up on the pile and didn't touch down till the corner of the roof on the passenger side, slide slightly and lifted off again not touching anything till the driver A pillar found the gravity it needed to find very solid ground coming to rest on the drivers side. Girlfriend go a finger pinched kind of bad, took some skin and meat but no bone, and her youngest (4yo) found out a hard lesson on why I always bark at her why to wear the seat belt the right way.
Not 5 min before this happen, we drove over the top of the pile. I happen to look back to check on her as I always do with kids in my rig, I stopped and told her we weren't moving till her seat belt was on the right way. Couple min later, life changing event. Momma wants whatever it takes to be safer, 5 points, more cage, etc etc.
The only good is I believe they will total it, I will buy it back and the jeep will be paid off. If all this works the way it should, then the old girl should start to see some new hardware in it pretty soon.

Been there for sure. Keepin' the kiddos and their folks safe is #1 priority. I have also been known to have a freak roll-over happen on occasion.

Good for you for putting minion safety FIRST. Sorry about the Jeep, but you definitely have the priorities right.

Soft top and half doors I have received already, windshield frame should be here by the end of the week, Poison Spider cage, to be ordered soon.
Got a line on a couple of body guys to help me out with a couple of spots that I have no ide how to fix. Buy some paint, put in a little work and she will be back to wheeling by I hope no later than January.

Ins totaled the jeep, I should buy it back any day now, the Ins guy was impressed with how nice it had been taken care of and also had a hard time believing the mileage on the jeep, good thing I had the body guy take a pic of it.

Glad everyone is ok, and you are getting the Jeep back together. 8)

I just received a call from a friend who's friend rolled their TJ. Sounds like the damage is similar to yours. He is looking for a windshield, frame, and soft top.

He asked if I knew the best places to buy parts, or if anyone I knew had any parts laying around.

I have no idea, but reading your post, I thought you may know where to source them.

Search Craigslist.
I did see a lot of deals out there. Windshield frames are hard to come by.
If you search hard enough you will find those deals. I looked throughout Wash, Or, Cal, ID, Montana, Utah, Nevada and so forth.
I did find a set of doors in South Carolina that I almost bought. Finding parts for a TJ is tough, and they are spendy

There is a Canadian wrecking yard, IIRC in BC, that specializes in Jeep parts.
Can't think of the name right now.
But the story is, once "totaled" a car can't be put back on the road. This process makes for lots of very good parts.

edit:
quick search got this:
Gary's Auto Wrecking
Tel: 604-467-4518 | Toll Free: 1-877-333-5337 | Fax: 604-467-8328
23480 River Rd, Maple Ridge BC Canada

My Insurance did me very well. Very impressed with the payouts and the willingness to pay all the bills in such a short time frame.
They told us to throw away the car seat after we got the check, the check for the car seat was here in like 3 days.
It took 2 weeks to have everything done, I should have the check in a couple days, including the title. Also the insurance lady told me that I am able to maintain full coverage on my jeep still.
I have heard a bunch of horror stories about insurance, I have to say I am pleased with the process of my claim.

Someone will ask so here it is, My insurance company is Safco.
