Insurance

Postby Lurch » Wed Sep 28, 2016 2:41 pm

So we currently have State Farm. The rates aren't horrible but the service isn't great. For some reason the billing department can't seem to figure out what day to pull our payment. Also they can't seem to figure out who is on the account. After a year they finally got my wife's name right. Just tired of the crap. So who do you have and how do you like them?
You can follow me.... but it's gonna hurt ;)

I've been very happy with both Nationwide and Liberty Mutal. Kari may have a access to employee discount with a company.

usaa,

haven't had any issues. when we left Kodiak last time we spent about 2-3 hours hours on the phone discussing all of our different policies.

alsaka renter's insurance (we had household goods being stored there), Alaska auto insurance (my small tent trailer was there), rental insurance on the house we were renting out.

Washington auto policy (we had a jeep and x90 here), rental insurance on the house stace's parents were living in, Washington renter's insurance we still have HHG's in that house.

European auto and renter's insurance

we have progressive for auto and renters insurance but the house we are buying is not in a "covered area" for home owners insurance. so we are shopping around for a home owners policy and may or may not move our vehicle policy also.

I like Farmer's. My agent has been awesome. I can send her a text or email with changes, get a quote for the change. I've had good rates too.

I had nationwide back in Illinois because my parents had them. When their house flooded, they were out there next day and cut a check in a few days, no questions asked. Out here I switched because it seems like their rates are higher here.

We use Safeco.

I can't tell you much, my wife is the insurance guru, so I leave it up to her.
