Currently I have stock Jeep JK 2 door, and am wanting to get it into the mountains more, but am on the fence about selling for multiple reasons.
The main one being I could sell, and buy a TJ/LJ/rubicon, with more miles, but lifted, and ultimately "done". I originally wanted to do a 3 inch Teraflex lift on mine, and I do not want to go cheap on it, so the price would be around $3000, before tires and anything else needed. I ultimately cannot afford this right now. Which leads me to want to sell my jeep and go the route mentioned.
But, I recently stumbled upon fenders sold by Mopar, and they fit 35's with no lift on a JK. I figured I could do that, JKS swaybar disconnects, and a small leveling/budget boost kit for about $1000. My question is if that option would allow me to go on the majority of trails up in the mountains such as naches etc. which is my ultimate goal.
Sell or Keep my Jeep?

Re: Sell or Keep my Jeep?
If the Jeep is your daily driver, keep it.
If not, sell it.
I'd vote tj/lj if it's not a DD. Also, be careful buying a pre lifted TJ. Lots of inherited problems if not done correctly.
Good luck with your decision.

keep it and put the 35s on. properly aired down and you'll be fine.

Re: Sell or Keep my Jeep?
get used stock 4 door JK springs and put them on yours with the fenders. I cant remember how much lift you get but I want to say 1.5 inches.

Thanks for the input!
Had my jeep up for sale when I was home, back in Alaska so I took it down and was kinda leaning towards keeping it. It is my daily driver

A stock TJ on 32 in tires will get you through all the trails with some occasional help. The most important thing is just getting to the trail because that's where the fun is. The TJ and driver will do the rest. It doesn't need to be built to hang with us. Use the leftover money from your sale on a commuter. Just my 2 cents

5000000000% agree with Curtis. A stock rig with the right driver will go ANYWHERE in the Naches area, so I'd vote to spend your hard earned cash on becoming that driver instead of letting your rig have all the fun of getting you where you want to go. Many of us have not-so-stock vehicles because we go other places and do other things, and we tailor our outfits to fits our needs. If the cheese is your goal, run what you've got and have a blast doing it!!
Yep, I've wheeled one of those, too...

Thanks again for the input guys, I think I will keep my Jeep and just get it up in mountains more!

Re: Sell or Keep my Jeep?
Does your current jeep have lockers? That would be #1 on my list to improve off-road worthiness.

Re: Sell or Keep my Jeep?
no lockers, its a stock sport with mud terrains and rubicon sliders. In the off roading I have done with it, locally, and one trail up on Blewett pass that was rated easy, it has impressed me very much! I just haven't had the opportunity to try any harder trails be it I was by myself or thinking I wouldn't be able to.
Re: Sell or Keep my Jeep?
If it was me:
1. good oversize tires
2. good winch
3. lockers
In that order
