Misfire

Postby Don » Thu Mar 06, 2008 4:04 pm

It's finally warm enough for me to use the Bronco II for work. But, the little Bronco that could is running like crap. I'm assuming I've got fouled plugs from all the short, cold moving around I did with it.

My question comes after pulling plug wires to try and isolate the dead cylinder. One of the plug wires, when pulled, actually causes the RPM's to go up. It almost seems like a crossed up plug wire or something, but I have not messed with them.

Any ideas?

Definately some sort of a Gremlin or a Chupacabra trying to sabotage your bunny. . .

Other than that, plugs. . .cap/rotor, etc. would be all suspect unless one of the neighbor kids crossed your wires. Definately sounds like wayward sparks at inopportune moments. . .timing also comes to mind.
