ARB Solenoids

Postby SPR » Mon Jul 10, 2017 6:25 am

In case you were wondering... ya right.

It appears that ARB solenoids have changed a little over time. My old solenoid valve body (on the left) mounts does not use a screw-in stem like the possibly newer style on the right.

They both use the same style of electrical switch-thingy. However, the solenoid with the screw-in stem requires a rare sized O-ring to prevent air leaks. My old solenoid does not. I was able to swap out my broken electrical switch-thingy with one from the other style of solenoid, skipping the O-ring, and it does not appear to leak air.

Thanks Rob. I'll pack to other one in the truck in case someone on the run needs it.
