i have a 512MB XD card that i can not get to work in my camera. does anyone use XD cards so i can test it in their camera?

Flash Memory can go bad fairly easily. Lookily it's pretty inexpensive. You can likely get 4 gig worth at Costco for $50 (or at least they were running a sale a while back)

Humidity getting inside small electronics and then freezing (expanding) is never a good thing :).
