The guys had a couple delays last night, and didn't get out till almost midnight. Guess they had to come back for the spare tire for the trailer, and then got stopped because of the lights on the trailer and had to deal with that! Will post updates as they come in...

The crew is in Vegas. Just over 17 hours on the road. Seems they had a wheel bearing work loose on the trailer, so that made for an unscheduled stop. After that, all was good.

Everyone is up and alive in Primm. The 4 prime suspects are headed for registration, and Kevin and Danny are unloading the truck to head for tech inspection. Steve has orders to call and let me know how that goes as soon as he can. Yes, I'm holding my breath!! Contingency runs all day, so they should have plenty of time to get festooned with more stickers. I have let it be known we want PICTURES, too!Dave W

Currently going thru the contingency line. Tech is at the end of that...The IRC tracker is live, too.

Okay, I got up a bit late. The guys are 19 miles in to Lap 1. Jose is driving, with Jim shotgun. They will trade seats at Pit 1, about 30 miles in. Steve and Don will get in for Lap2 in about 2-1/2 hours. Steve sounded pretty colected when I talked to him. Their pal Dave Blakely in the 3112 XTerra is not far behind them. The two teams are sharing pit duties.

Just over 45 miles in. Jim driving...Got nerfed by a faster truck, so we have some carnage!

Long time in Pit 1 for an alternator change, of all things! Seems they'll pack up with dust and quit charging. Jose got this info from one of the "old timers" down there...They be monin' now. Steve is driving.

All is well. They finished up third out of four. Not too bad for a bunch of rookies!! They about got ate up by a herd of Trick Trucks, but I best let Don and Jose tell that story. They'll be home late tomorrow. They all should post up their impressions of the first race so we can get a feel for it from their point of view, don'tcha think
