Tire size Question

Postby tweeve » Thu May 04, 2023 10:10 pm

I have been out of the game for about 10 years.
When I stopped the first time, you could just about go anywhere here in the PNW with 35's.
Is that still the case or should I be planning on going with 37's?

My JKU is already on 33's but at stock suspension. I am trying to future plan for what size lift to get.

Kind of a loaded question, but in general terms I'd say that 35's will get it done. Of course that is all highly dependent on the vehicle itself (particularly wheelbase / breakover), the route you are on, and perhaps most of all driver skill. I know guys that can wheel a washing machine over places I can't get with 40's
Yep, I've wheeled one of those, too...

If my reading comprehension is correct, your in a 4dr JK now? 35"s and associated lift should be sufficient for 85% of summer time wheeling. Deep snow is another story, JK's are definitely on the plus size side where floatation is concerned.
