Fixing 97-04 Wrangler Soft Top Window Zippers

Postby Lud » Fri May 16, 2008 8:21 am

I busted the one of the rear window zippers the other day on my Jeep.
Found a kit for 11 bucks shipped that replaces both window zippers for either the rear or side windows. The instructions were easy to follow and it took me 5 minutes to install and the window zipper works fine.

Just thought I'd share a link of where to go to get a replacement set for either the rear or side windows up to the '06 Wranglers. There's some other neat stuff too.

Thanks for posting up. I had my rear window and soft-top replaced under warranty this winter over a zipper issue. Just as my bumper to bumper warranty came to a close I had another pretty good jam that made it close to impossible to remove the rear window (and I'm using Jeep / Mopar’s zipper cleaner / lube.) I managed to fix that, but I can see zipper issues are going to be part of my soft-top future.
Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.
