He sure was a great actor. I believe he even did standup on occasion. Didn't he do a bit smashing fruit with a big hammer?

The smashing fruit bit was done by Galahger. (Don't know the spelling)
Carlin liked comedy having to do with language:
The 7 words you can't say on TV was awesome!
Came up the saying, "Why do we drive on parkways and park on driveways?"
George Carlin has bits like:
When the Stewardess says "get on the plane", I say "F%#& you, I'm getting IN the plane!
Go watch any of his HBO specials sometime. You won't stop laughing.
