Glad to see ya back on.. I put the banlist back in place and excluded the IP subnet you posted from. Also I updated the EWOR banlist so you should be able to post there as well. There's a chance you'll be on a different subnet if you use computers at different locations, if it happens again send me another email.

the town is very cool but there are a few things i don't have here:
a camera capable of downloading to a computer
a computer
a jeep
a place to wheel, legally.

cool things are:
lots of hiking to do
lots of cool rigs
lots of biergartens

"hutte" german for huts/restaurants in the mountains. only access for patrons is to hike in. i call them beer stops. imagine hiking up into the mountains to about 1200 meters to find a huge beer sign. sign of relief! they'll even mix the beer with an energy drink if you wish. then look up another 600 meters and what do you see? another beer sign, woooo hooo. now i know where the saying "beer isn't just for breakfast anymore" came from. beer is served from opening to closing.

the name of the beer/liquor stores is GETRANKMARKT. now i also know where our term "get drunk" comes from. the A is pronounced as a "U".

there are bike trails all over the place as well. so now we bike and hike for beer. and at the end of a day have still burned more calories than we have consumed, especially on a weekend.

biked around munich yesterday but only hit 2 of the official 36 beirgartens advertised in the "biergartens of munich book". there are however many unofficial beirgartens, probably numbering in the hundreds.

anyway you all stay safe and wheel responsibly,

I use to walk the trails for beers over there. It was a lot of fun. I had forgot about that.

the guest house opens aug 1 but we won't have furniture until aug 4.

remember oktoberfest is right around the corner.

you wouldn't be so jealous if your jeep and 90% of your tools were taken away :( , now would you?

unfortunately they only have about 6 different kinds of beer here.

weiss beir- hefe
dunkles weiss- dark hefe
helles- bud/miller equivalent
schwarz- dark (amberish to me)
licht- light beer (less alcohol)
pils- pale ale bitter like beer

if i want a truedarkbeer i have to go to the irish pub for a guiness or a beamish stout. i miss the hand crafted micros of the northwest

such is life, i will live on and dunkles weiss my way thru germany, italy, austria, swizterland and anywhere else the road or train shall lead us.

up another 600 meters to a hutte right on the austria border at 2500 meters in height. since it did take roughly 5.5 hours to get there i sat down for 3 dunkles weise biers. a wrong turn on the way down made the roundtrip time about 12 hours.

we forgot to take a picture at the second beer stop (1100) so we had to wait until it was in sight again from above.
