Vandalism in the ASF

Postby Beep Beep » Mon Dec 21, 2009 7:06 pm

Hi Folks:

I need to report out to you about some vandalism that occurred at the Large Sno-Park and Ahtanum Meadows Campgrounds last Thursday night , Dec 17. It is with great disappointment and frustration that someone or some bodies with a large 4X4 truck pushed over three port-a-potties in the large sno-park and then ran through two gates. Destroying one of the gates beyond repair. At this time we have no suspects or witnesses. If anybody has any idea or information on who did this please contact me, Mike Williams, Donn Rasmusson, or Gary Margheim.

Mike and Donn spend last Saturday in the ASF with DNR Enforcement Officer Gary Margheim along with Carl Denton and others from the Ski Benders to assess the damage.

Mike and Donn also spend some time with Scott Sandsberry from the Yakima Herald. Scott will be writing an article about the incident to let the public know about the situation and the possible outcomes if we can’t get a handle on this type of activity.

Once again it only a few who are making things bad for the many who truly care about the ASF and what it has to offer. Thanks to all of the good folks out there who are helping us by spending many hours of volunteer time to help keep the ASF clean and safe.

To those who are doing the vandalism and all the other illegal crap may your Christmas stocking be filled with the garbage you leave in the ASF, your snow be wet, slushy, & yellow, and……………………..!!!!

Cheers,

No one saw them? Seems kinda funny that nobody was in the snowpark even on a Thursday night.
