Hello All!
Glad to finaly be on the forum! Any way, I am Chanselor. I am fairly new to the Tri cities. I took a summer internship in May and ended up staying after I was offereed a job and to finish out my schooling.
I believe I met some of you at cool desert nights(or at least saw some of your rigs) Any how I have a 99 XJ with a junk yard lift that I have measured out to be around 9 inches. Currently it has bald 31â€

And this is demonstrating the double hinge. The tailgate pulls out slightly to unlatch than you fold it up and in.

I wanted mine to be really unique so I tired this out. When I first flopped it I came up with the idea and it really came together when my brother messed up the hatch. He backed up between a power poll and it's support cable and the cable caught the lip of the hatch as he pulled away and it wasn't pretty.


I do have one other future project that will be awesome if I can do it but we shall see!

Not really. We had a bunch of guys with us so we just pushed it back over and it was fine. Unbelievably I didn’t break a single window! Just a few dents.

When I flopped it I had a 3 inch lift and sway bars with out quick disconnects so that is what did me in. My
Spotter didn't know I still had
My sway bars on because I have cleared that area before with them off

I really enjoy my xj. Nothing will separate me from it!
Working on your rig is like a really great date: you start out expecting it to be something simple and straightforward; four hours later you're laying under her, panting and cursing, and things are a lot more complicated than you ever wanted.
