Juniper night run 6/16/12

Postby OldGreen » Sun Jun 17, 2012 10:08 am

It was Chrispy/Nicky/Kiddos, TJDave, Wrench, Kelly??and Hubby, and Me/kiddos.

We played in the dunes in the dark, went on a trail run, played in the dunes some more, aired up and rolled out. Most of the group reconvened at Shari's in kennewick for 4th meal. We were home before 2:00am.

TJDave has three pics....

We had great late night fun and pretty much had the place to ourselves.

It appears as though my dune flag is reflective.

I LOVE bombin' the dunes in the dark. I do wish my dead shock hadn't preventing me from going a little harder. . .You can't hit a dune face as fast as necessary with one dead front shock. . :( The good news is that the replacement should be here any day :)

Maybe this fall we'll do a dune camping trip.

I really like the camping idea. Last night / morning was a lot of fun but I think it was a little hard on the kids.

Smith Canyon is a great wide open place to camp....without having to take the RV's down the looooong whoop-di-doo road.

It is just the first BLM parking area at Juniper.

Yep. Take that first right, then go around the hill and it opens up to a huge flat wide area. A lot of folks camp there.
