95 yj 2.4 to the 4.0 swap
ive read a little about the swap and most people say its a dumb idea and i should just sell it and buy a yj with a 4.0 in it but i have to many memories in the ol jeep to get rid of her. so i was wondering what yall opinions about the swap before making my grand choice?
i do have access to a 4.0 with an auto tranny and wiring harness.

I'll throw this out there just to muddy the water... If you can score a fuel injected 5.2/5.9L from a Dodge/Jeep along with the ENTIRE engine wiring harness and PDC wiring bundle, it takes exactly 5 wire connections to make it run in a previously-equipped 2.5L YJ

Yep, I've wheeled one of those, too...

You bet...I've been running a 2.5 for 7 yrs. Ask any one in the club how my 4-banger runs. A few more squirrels in the cage would be great but my little 2.5 on 33's and a 4" lift and lockers front and rear running 4:10 did the rubi in June. And I didn't take any bypasses!!!
Were it me, I'd stick with it.

Will do, but watch the header at the top of the page. It shows up lots. Or better yet, look at the run report on the rubicon. Lots of pics there. It's the white YJ with the 8274 on the front.
I'm on the road right now and have poor access to the internet but here goes.
Here's a pic taken in '10 in Yuma, AZ
Here's another taken in Yuma in '10 working my way up a canyon.
And here's a pic taken on the Rimrock winch fest. Check out that run under run reports.

Hi-jack....Hi-jack. Dale, I believe that goes in another thread....
Now here's a real answer to OG's question on my rubicon adventure pics.
This is all the pics I have of my YJ on the Rubicon Trail. That's why I guided him to the run report link. So, Jimmy, feel free to post up all you want.
I have to post this one first. This is where Tobicon and I started the trail, really!! at Uncle Toms Cabin. It's not a complete Rubicon Trail run without a stop here first.
Jimmy, cropped out the shock mount fix on this one.
\]
Notice the rear wheel doesn't match here. Also has a well abused nerf bar.

THAT was awesome... I mean, the trail of course was incredible, but Uncle Tom's was just flat cool

Yep, I've wheeled one of those, too...
