LOL Is that why every time I drive by Roman's house the truck appears to be getting worked on?

Either way, I say we have a mini race day for you guys... it would be amusing to say the least... I'll just make sure to plate the crap out of all the steering and get beefier tie rods... actually... I think the ones we made were tool steel... but never the less... more beef would be in order.

So your in to get behind the wheel of said suicide machine and try to kick Jim's best time to the curb... Great!

Seeing as how it says you're the land use coordinator, do you think you can score us a stretch of hard pack/gravel road to rip around?

I've still got to tear the beast down to start the engine build, so it'll be awhile.

Ahhh... well it was worth a shot. I just need to find a safe place to do such a thing. Well, that and where we wont annoy any one. The muffler is more of a straight through with a couple pieces of mesh in between deal. I guess you could call it a race muffler. I'm not out to piss people off. Just to have a little harmless fun.

And you should drive... racing your ego has to get a little boring right? I mean if racing your imaginary bad a$$ self and losing all the time has got to get old.

I have a little update. Chassis is mostly stripped of everything that needs to come off. Engine is off and ready to be disassembled, cleaned up, and built. Pics will come later after I find the cord to the camera.

Engine is almost totally disassembled. The valve train still needs to come out and that's it. The governor has been removed. Talked with some kart people and it seems as though with just the cam and a little carb work it should be pushing 8-10hp. Funny part is that I have more performance stuff than just that. This cart should be fun as hell!

Apparently some one decided to smack the engine into a tree or something because the head was fawked. It still had good compression and worked fine, but the edge of it was all bent out of shape. Its okay though because I have a nice milled head ready to go on it.

To my dismay the stud holding the band part of the brake to the chassis was bent to $h!t. I think that might be why the band is sitting slightly off the drum. It still brakes fine, but for my peace of mind I would like the brakes 100%. I have no idea how the guys managed this one as the stud is tucked up in the chassis and protected. Last time they ran it the popped the chain off, more than likely because they hit something. That's the only thing I can think of that could possibly do something like this, but if that were the case I'd probably have bigger problems on my hands and as she sits she rolls just fine.

Its getting closer to being ready to run. I cant wait. Pics coming soon.
