steering arm

any tips on getting the arm off the steering shaft on my ranger besides pounding on it its kinda wedged in there

I assume you are talking about the arm on the steering box. You will probably have to use a puller.
You can follow me.... but it's gonna hurt ;)

dont have any experience with those boxes but on thoe one box ive had trboules with i just unbolted the arm and wedged the tire with my highlift and steered back and fourth and it got loose

Pitman arm? Get a puller and don't forget to tap the pitman every couple cranks with a hammer
