Who has a tube bender?

Postby Blackdog » Fri Mar 11, 2011 8:29 pm

I just mounted a winch on my 1997 Ranger. I need a tube winch bumper built around it. Who can do this for me? Thanks

Got a friend with one.... It's for sale too. Its the HF one and it's not the best. I can prolly get you access to it if you'd like to try it.

I got a HF PIPE bender. I tested a piece of PIPE and it worked okay.

I will be trying some sch 40 when I get paid. I don't plan to do alot of work for people being its a HF sch 40/80 bender and doesn't do DOM or HREW but it'll get me started, and do bumpers fine. Later on I'll get a real bender for DOM/HREW and start doing side-work but I'm gonna start doing all our friends/family's bumpers/sliders with it so will see how it works out.

You could certainly make a bumper out of pipe with a HF bender. . .

Just don't use it for anything that you have to trust your life with.

Yeah I made the bumper on my Toyota out of 1.5" DOM and it bent fine. The key is to tack on a peice of plate on the ends and fill it with sand so the DOM doesnt crush.

This whole cage was done using my bender and the sand packing (done by Justin Linder of Linderpowersystems before he got his jd2

I got the bender from him for free so if anyone else wants it I am down to pass on a good deal (Ill just go to him for my bends haha)

Yeah but you guys have some backing. I was willing to pay 2gs for car suspension but for some reason I wont for a truck (total chaos LT kit)

I even have some long arms in the garage that I was making but backed off once I started doing the math of how much stuff Id need..
