Naches/Kaner 10/19/24

Wow!
That pretty much sums it up...

Kind of free form, no hard plans, let's see where things land.

We didn't have many u-turns except the lost trail in the rock garden. We covered a fair amount of ground and saw some sights I've never witnessed before!

Apparently Greg was first to blast off, followed by most of the other group from BC Sun Market. Todd was running uncharacteristically late and met up with us at the General Store in Naches. We caught up with Greg in Little Naches where we took a little time to find a spot large enough for 6 tow piggies and trailers, Long Meadow FTW.
We shot up Quart Creek Rd and caught 676. After a "slight" pause on Elephant Dung Hill we had a slight winch relay exercise on Aardvark. Slippery and slimy with a touch of risk, so you could say classic Aardvark.
At the top of the trail we turned left and ran out to Quartz Mnt. Fun trails, obviously cold and windy at the end of the trail.

We turned back, and at the 676 intersection I spent a few minutes pondering possibly routes back to the trailers. I finally gave in to a few of the voices (coming out of the radio) and dropped back down 676 to catch gravel roads.

I didn't snap a single picture. Mike has an awesome video posted on FB already that I'm sure will be shared here shortly.

Was a good trip. Only cost a tail light (through no fault of the large orange jeep)

I don’t want to be accused of breaking tradition.
