Things were going as planned until the night before the run when most everything fell apart when about 5 people bailed out. Then the next morning the preplanned meeting spot was occupied by a pile of gardening/landscaping material at Walmart. That created a little confusion but fortunately Iaccocca and Odball had already secured some asphalt in the middle of the parking lot. When 9:30 rolled around we were 5 players strong, Myself (Scumby), Iaccocca, Odball, TJRay and JTKevin. All the highway travel time went well but than I lost it when we got to the Zillah Buena area. Lost track of where we were and ended up a the end of a dead end rd, not fun when you're flat towing. We were able to get everyone turned around run in relatively short order and Iaccocca found my way to the canal entrance. We arrived at The Slab an hour and a half late at 11:30. Jeeps were unloaded, unhooked and aired down.
We played around in the wash a little then onto some hill climbs. It didn't take long before lunch was called so we all gathered at a hilltop with a view and had lunch. We BSed and told stories for about an hour at which point someone called beverage:30. Jeeps were loaded, hooked up and aired up. Off we went to find a cold beverage.
There was no June meeting because of the lack of club officers.
I'm not much of a picture taker, sadly I only took 1. From left to right was JTKevin, TJRay, Scumby, Oddball and Iaccocca.

Re: June 2025 Slab Run
Sorry we missed it! Sounds like a good time even with the few rut rows!
