When I was growing up, Dad had a third row in his Jeepster (facing backward.) We took that thing all the way across country twice with 4 kids and two adults.
Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.

The other really nice thing about the Cherokees is that you can sleep in them when the weather really turns to crap! :-) Really handy in those super heavy downpours.

I slept in a few of my XJs over the years so I did not have to sleep on the ground. The last time was on our Naches Pass run October 2008. I am glad I did because it rain a lot where there was standing water. A tent would have sucked to be in.

i really liked the xj's that i had they are good trail rigs and i really like the 4.0 liter straight 6 i put mine though hell and kept on driving it everday.

Agreed. Scotty passed me on the road the other day in his blue XJ. I have seen alot of what he has put his through, and lots of pictures of thrashings I have not witnessed, and that thing just keeps on going! I laughed to myself in amazement as he went by! :lol: I think I am going to try to find one for a daily driver/boat launcher.
