2010 Vehicle Tabs - HEADS UP

Just a quick heads on 2010 vehicle tabs... In reviewing my first one for the year (I have like 11 more coming ), I noticed that WA state kindly included a $5 donation to the State Parks on my behalf... You can deduct this $5 if you don't want to donate, but it's an extra step on your part. Sneaky sneaky...

I see that on two of my renewal notices I got today. One for the XJ and the travel trailer. I we are already paying for the state parks with NOVA money.

I wonder if my ATV tabs with have that BS on it too?

I just got one of mine in the mail yesterday too.. getting hit again for $20 replacement plate fee and $4 "Plate reflectivity fee".

The travel trailer also has a
"$3 RV disposal fee supports maintenance of RV disposal systems"

I have never used one of these state crapper dump sites ever. I am not even for sure where one is.

I do mine in person because I enjoy standing in line. JK
I send my wife to stand in line. We always forget to pay tabs until they are due or over due. Living on the edge!

I went ahead and paid the 5 bux on my special veteran plates yesterday. While I amvery ticked off about the nova funding issue, I'm also not ready to hand some politio another reason to just shut down more parks.............................................. It's rather a dammed if you do and dammed if you don't kind of situation.

Agreed. I actually really enjoy our state parks when we go on family excursion. We use them instead of hotels.

Still.. .I pay my $xx/night to pitch my tent. . .I dunno. I think that $5 isn't a bad deal.

Yup, my family and I really enjoy the parks. The granddaughters just have a ball every time we go visit one. We are fortunate to have a lot of them in the PNW.
