Crash at Hover

Just heard about this from a buddy. Happened over the weekend. Rumor has it he endoed 8 times. Sad to see something like this happen so close to home

Those huge hills in Hover can be very dangerous. Nothing to stop you if you go over.

Hate to see something like this happen to anyone. The fallout won't be good, either! The anti fun druids will see that and go into convulsions How does everyone feel about sending some kind of sympathy card or flowers to the family from the club

It sounds like they both got tossed from the rig. From the injuries, it sounds like the rig landed on one of them. I would imagine in that situation full harnesses would have helped. I know that is a very dangerous hill. I know a guy that got air lifted off of it after flipping his 4 wheeler. I think is comes down to using your head, and not taking exceptional risks. A hill climb like that would probably call for a full professional cage with harnesses.

Sounds like they were coming down and caught an edge wrong. But then, that was in the Herald, so who knows

Just saw the picture today (6-11) and that was the first thing I saw, the cage didn't hold up well and had the spreader bars close in the middle instead of to the outside. The seats also look like they came loose and I'm sure the seat belts, if used, worked really good after than.

Might be a good time for a safety check on the trail rig.

Not sure if the Peek Putters do this, but the Dessert Rats use to have an annual "safety check". This was just and extra set or more of eye looking over you rig with a check list of common safety thing to check, like a race inspection. Not sure if they do these inspections anymore.
