So I got attacked by the cat tonight.....

Was innocently working on removing the intake manifold on my '95 Buick Century when I was attacked.



Was in the process of unbolting the EGR valve when the cat jumped off the roof of the car onto the hood. While trying to protect my head from getting smashed I must've cut my arm somewhere on the bottom of the hood. Don't think I've ever had a cut that deep before, should leave a nice scar.

Just thought I'd stick this here as a warning, make sure you clear the area of cats before working on a car....

We had a fluufy old Tom that liked to help with anything, if he figured it would get him attention. Died of heart failure at 14. Got a big grey Tom now that's almost 19, and no clue he's that old...

This one's still a kitten and it's the same way. Doesn't bode well for the future.

Ouch. That looks like a couple stitches are needed.

Stitches? Nah I cut my palm open with an angle grinder and it did well with a bottle of superglue and some duct tape. Who needs a doctor when you've got a phd in ingenuity

Yah, I might have gone with stiches if the nearest doctor wasn't an hour away. Used some butterfly bandages and it seems to be holding - stiches would have made it a bit easier to use the arm though - I'm babying it so it doesn't rip open. It's a bit different when the cut is on the back of the arm vs your palm.
