Finally saw Juniper Dunes

Postby Power Wagon » Mon Sep 05, 2011 12:11 pm

So, I had to make this trip over to harbor freight and so yesterday, on the way back, we made the side trip to Juniper Dunes. Quite the interesting place. I want to go back and explore the place a bit, and take a camera, too.

Do you need a flag on a vehicle to run around out there?

Yes you are suppose to have flags on your vehicle is you leave the parking areas. It is a nice bumpy road into Juniper isn't it?

It's not all that bad. When's a group going over again? I'd like to follow you guys around and get to see the place, and have someone who can yank me out should I get stuck in the sand. I don't have my lockers in yet. Gonna work on that, but it takes both time and money and energy... And I'm short on all three.

Seems like we go there more often when the weather turns, and the dunes get some moisture on them.

So dang hot, I like to head for the hills and cooler weather in the summer.
