Tons of fun. Its amazing what a difference a week makes, we were up the weekend before and there was dirt showing on the hogs back. At least 2 feet of fresh snow last week made for some epic snow wheeling.

There likely a few very snowy/drifted roads outside a Waitsburg. Curits and Brian hit a few good one last week during their elk hunt. As of Jan. 20, the most of the county roads in that are open

Might be a dumb question, but what is the big deal with snow wheeling? It just looks like it is hell on a transmission and cold. I've never gotten a chance to go, but from the looks of it in videos that is what I see

Its fun to drive where 99% of the world can't. Its challenging and the views are spectacular. Driving (and winching) through 6' of snow is surprisingly quite a workout so its rarely cold unless you are standing around because someone broke down.

Snow tends to level the playing field quite a bit so there is a challenge that isn't found during the summer. And as Squirrel says just being in those conditions is absolutely amazing. The scenery is awesome. And once you get back to camp and get that bond fire going and the stories start, well, it just don't get any better than that!
