Hi everyone!!
I just wanted to let everyone know that they need donations of dog and cat food, hay, grain and pet supplies like blankets, and bowls at several locations in Ellensburg and Cle Elum for the pets that have been evacuated from their homes so save them from the Taylor Bridge Fire. Last count I have seen was over 60 homes lost to this fire. The large animals are going to the fair grounds and the dogs and cats are going to vet clinics. These facilities supplies are getting hit hard trying to care for all of these pets. They need donations!!!
I will volunteer to collect and deliver anything anyone wants to donate. Get a hold of me or Trashy and I will come pick it up. Anything helps!!

Not a problem Lee!! Awesome about your donation. I got a call from a farm and friend of ours that has put in a donation of 1 ton of hay for me to take out there. I'm going to pick up some food to add to it.
I'm hoping to take a full truck load of stuff up. We have our extended cab ford that I'm picking up the hay in. I have a huge back seat that I can fill with food and other supplies.

As I have it now from colemancooler, the hay and such for the big animals goes to the fairgrounds in Cle Elum, and donations of clothing and such goes to the Holiday Inn Express in E-burg...Lee seems to have the vet covered at the moment

Everyone please don't forget about our firefighters out there. They also need water and food.
I'm adding flats of water to the list of things that I am picking up to take with me. I plan on hitting walmart to pick up some dog and cat food and water. I think I will swing into goodwill about some baby blankets for the vet clinics.

Third Street in Cle Elum, and Central Washington University – Munson Dorms, 400 E. University Way in Ellensburg, Washington. Approximately 28,077 acres are now burned with several unburned islands within the fire perimeter. The Kittitas County Emergency Operation Center reported 60 primary structures lost at this time. The fire danger is being assessed and once conditions are safe, homeowners will be allowed to return to their homes. Containment is now being reported at 10%.
The fire is under unified command, and includes agencies from WA Department of Natural Resource (WA DNR), Kittitas County Fire District 1, 2, and 7. Washington State mobilization was authorized at 3:30 p.m. deploying firefighting resources to the Taylor Bridge Fire. Incident Commander Rex Reed and members of the Washington Incident Management Team 2 assumed command of the fire at 8:00 a.m. today.
The fire started along Highway 10 at the Taylor Road junction where the bridge was being rebuilt. The fire was caused during the construction project.

The donation run from the Tri Cities is complete! From what I figure, I delivered: 1 ton of alfalfa, 100 lbs dog food, 5 (or more)bags of dog treats, 9 cans of dog food, 25 lbs of cat food, a 25 lb bag of COB w/molasses, 1 flat of water, 1 drink dispenser cooler, 4 boxes and 5 grocery bags of human food, toiletries and laundry stuff. My goal was for a full truck, and we definitely got it! Thank you everyone who contributed!
