Telemarketers must die

Postby iaccocca » Wed Oct 03, 2012 3:12 pm

I had a telemarketer call today. Big Surprise! I am on the national do not call list, so I torture them when they call. At least it burns up some of their time and costs them and their company a buck or two and that is a minute or two they are not bothering some one else. You are welcome. Anyways... they want to lower my credit card rate. I said great, "The balance on my Diner Club Card is killing me."
They ask about my Visa or Master Card, but I tell them I don't carry a balance on those. Etc., etc.
Once I'm sick of playing I tell him that I am on the National Do Not CAll List and this call is a crime. And he says, I kid you not, with a suddenly very accented voice (Jamaican if I had to guess) "I don't give a F**k."

That is what I would like them to address in the debate tonight. I bet we can all get on the same side of that one.
Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.

I haven't had a landline phone number of my own ever. Is it a coincidence that I've never gotten a call from a telemarketer?

It is illegal for a telemarketer to call your cell, but they call mine. (Of course in those cases the cell is the number for my business, so they don't really know.)

It is too bad you don't get them Trashy, I bet you could play with them like a cat with a mouse.

One time the telemarketing company that was calling me was from here in Kennewick. I just read their address to them... pretty effective.
