Lee that'll make a fine stereo for you guys to catch prairie home companion on while camping. Any form of mp3 player will be nice for wheeling so you can have your music without having to change cd's.

Having tunes is a requirement at all times for me. My dd has a pretty stupid stereo system and the new wheelers stereo setup will make it look stock so I'll have noise with me everywhere. Dual batteries are going in the dd when I have time and the wheeler will likely get 3.

Need to pick up my new garage stereo system from Mr Brown one of these days. Its his big ol' house system with surround sound and all. My neighbors may end up hating me.

You got the station right White Trash, I do love my NPR. Main reason for the radio purchase was to replace the shop stereo and to help me stop abusing the Jeep batteries. Despite Jose slapping my hands, I have a tendency to use the Jeep as my backyard stereo, much to the grief of my wallet.
And yes, it will be a good camp radio, especially with rechargeable batteries. Jeep stereo is good enough on the trail (the last 3 rollover attempts were done with the stereo cranked, maybe I need to turn it down. )
Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.

Lake Wobegon... Where the women are strong, the men good looking, and the children above average. Got to love it...

I throw the higher amp battery charger on the jeep when I want to use it as an outdoor stereo system at the house, doesn't do me any good at camp though. Think I need to rig up some form of dual battery just for the radio.

Keep us posted. Tires have gotten so close in performance that things like service and warranty are EVERYTHING. . .

Small update....or no update depending on how you look at it.

I emailed both Procomp and 4wheelparts customer service on Monday.
I have received no response from Procomp, and an automatic email from 4WP saying that person (different email address) will be out of the office until the 16th. So, when I got off work today, I re-sent the same message to that email address.

We'll see. But, I am not holding my breath. I ordered a new tire from Discount tire today, and the guy at the counter said Procomp and 4wp are now the same company, and that is who he talks to when ordering. ?? He did not charge me yet, and says he is going to call them and see what they can do. He said the warranty is only for 3 years, but the date stamp on the tire is 5 years ago. Good shelf life I guess.
So, check the dates on any new tires you buy.

My favorite picture of the famous Tri-Ply sidewall!

Dave, what is the purpose of the shovel strapped to the tire?

This is my observation, but I think dave had a gas can carrier/rack on the back before he took on the piece that could make nice hatchet handles...lol

I have the cargo rack I put shovel holders on. Mostly for snow runs.
Sticks out too far for the Little Rattlesnake.
Trail Jam wants you to carry a shovel, and I left my little folding one at home.

I guess the only real purpose was I knew where to find it, when I had to scoop my dogs dump in the campground!

A couple of rattle-cans can fix that little problem.

I heard some tires screeching as I was getting ready for work this morning.
When I pulled out of the driveway, my mailbox looked funny.

Looked down the road, and two LEO's where talking to a young female driver

Image

Not exactly sure what happened. Looks like she lost control. The skid marks went from the gravel all the way around to the other side of the road, and she was now facing the opposite direction she was travelling.
Maybe texting? or fell asleep? I Thank God she did not hit the neighbors railroad tie fence corner, or oncoming traffic.

So, I'm going to buy a new mailbox! With their money. A fancy one. :ouioui

Kind of looks like you box is taking a nap. Our box at the office got smacked about two months ago by a crazy lady. Luckily, it stopped her rig, giving her the chance to visit with the LEOs. You could tell that they did not want anything to do with her.... she was nuts. The two truck driver gave her a lift... bless his heart.

Jet ski powered "Ironman" boots.
The Jet ski followed this guy around and was the water pump for the boots.
He was really good at it. Flips and dives.
I have video, but can't figure out how to send them to my photobucket.
Never seen anything like it. More fun watching him than the boat races.

Those things are awesome. I remember seeing some prototypes on TV several years back, looks like they might have perfected it.

Either you're in exactly the right spot, or things have gone horribly wrong.
