Shop Cleaning

Postby tobyw » Mon Jul 29, 2013 11:54 am

I'll post some prices here just for grins, but they are by no means firm... I want all of this stuff gone ASAFP, so don't be scared to ask/offer:

Chevy TBI 4.3L, mostly complete but missing front accy drive brackets, motor supposed to have ~80k on it. $100 SALE PENDING TO 79CHEVY39.5

Chevy TBI 4.3L, again mostly complete, this one missing exhaust manifolds. Was told it's been rebuilt, bored 0.020" and has some sort of cam in it. Computer was custom flashed to match engine upgrades, supposed to be a pretty peppy little fella. $300 SALE PENDING TO WT

Painless Performance Products stand alone TBI EFI harness. Used but in fine condition with all ends labeled for easy reinstallation. $200

Chevy 4wd TH350 with torque converter. Pulled from a running/driving pickup by me a few years back. $100 SALE PENDING TO BOBRACING

Advance Adapters TH350 to Dana 20 adapter. $100

Matching D44's from a 197x Wagoneer with Quadratrac, which means the rear is also offset to the passenger side. Bone stock, includes front Waggy leaves which are desirable for the slightly longer length and offset center pins. $200 SALE PENDING TO BOBRACING

(4) 15x8 American Racing Outlaw II aluminum wheels, 6x5.5 bolt pattern (Chevy, Toyota, Waggy, etc). $100

(4) 16x8 aluminum "saw blade" wheels, 8x6.5 bolt pattern. $50 SALE PENDING TO MATTAWAJEEP

JK Unlimited Rubicon factory coils and shocks, ~20k miles. $50

MOPAR JK Unlimited bikini top, used less than one season. $100

Factory early Bronco spare tire carrier setup $50

Factory early Bronco power brake booster/master/firewall bracket (76/77 model years) $50 SALE PENDING TO TIMMAY

Small Harbor Freight A-frame press, I think it's rated for 6-tons IIRC. Great for replacing axle or driveshaft u-joints and bending 10ga brackets. $20

Bench top drill press, 1/2" chuck, ~3" stroke, works great and drilled A LOT of holes for me over the years. Handy laser that shoots an 'X' onto the work piece to line up the bit. $20 SOLD TO JIMMY

Can arrange delivery within reason for any/all of this stuff. :)

Why yes, yes you do

James has first dibs on the trans, but you can take your pick on the 4.3's....

I'll take the 16x8 saw blade wheels. Need something better for the Gladiator than the 16.5's I've got and I think those will work.

That bastard! Only fitting I guess since he's been running the axles out of that truck for a couple years now In the blazer.

I've got a 32 spline 465 with hydro bellhousing and all associated parts sitting here so I guess I'll make due handily. :D

Not going off topic.... Just bumping the thread....

Do you need a special bell housing if you want to go hydraulic, or can you make something work with the older style?

It can be done with a custom mount and an fj40 land cruiser slave and master cylinder but by far the easiest way is to use a later bellhousing that has the mount for the slave cylinder built in then run the factory master etc.

It sure can but those are crap. When an external slave goes bad it doesn't cost you a clutch unlike the hydrolic throw out bearing.

Yep, got back last Wednesday. Let me know...

FYI for you and WT, my intent was to use both 4.3's together to make one complete one... Between the two of them, everything is there for one motor plus a few spares here/there, but not much overlap. They are both essentially complete long blocks and I also have the following parts:

(2) pass side serp acc brackets
(1) driver side serp acc bracket
(1) alternator
(1) p/s pump
(2) A/C pumps
(2) TBI units
(1) pair of OEM exhaust manifolds
(1) OEM crossover/collector pipe

The above list is from memory, actual mileage may vary

All the exterior stuff isn't an issue to me. If the computer is tweaked does that mean there is wiring to hook it up too? If there is wiring to make it run I'll split the difference and give you $200. You can keep the externals as I'll just convert it all over to short water pump and use V belts.

The wiring is the stand alone Painless harness... I'm not in the mood to let the motor and harness go for $200 just yet, even w/o any accessories

Now I'm tracking the harness is for the engine just listed separately. When I read tbi wiring harness I automatically logged it as being for a V8 not for the V6's listed in the add.

In that case how about $400 for the harness and engine minus accessories?

Toby, you gonna be around this evening? I'm coming in to town with the truck to pick up a bunch of stuff, and it'd be easiest for me if I could get the wheels today. I'll need your address as well.
