I tried to get him to skip work but it didn't work. One of these days hopefully our schedules line up and he can show me around up in the snow.

Need someone who at least has some idea of the area. Mine is enough to get myself into trouble. But if a few jeeps showed up at my door on Thursday I wouldn't mind spending my day off playing up in the snow.

It's going to be a production rig for Nissan. The Nissan guy said they're going to sell it this year after April in select markets and gauge interest. If they think it will sell, it should hit full production by the end of the year.

The Nissan would push other mfg which would be good id really like the isuzu dmax pickup 3.0 that is offered elsewhere. I work on that motor in light duty npr's and it seems to be ok and would be awesome in a small truck

Ford decided against it when they came out with the Eco boost v6. Great mileage and good power without the higher price of diesel.

Yeah I like mid-sized trucks and a powerful one that warms up would be nice. A 4 cyl with direct injection turbo vvt would bee nice

I didn't get a picture of it but the new small Chevy Colorado truck also has a diesel in it for 2014.

That little Nissan supposed to get 30 mpg+ according to the guys at Nissan. Be a nice commuter for anyone that doesn't want to go to work in a small crappy car. Oh wait......lol.

Diesel $3.80
Gas $3.05 Gas costs 80% of the price of diesel right now.

If the diesel can get 30mpg, then an Ecoboost Ranger would only need to get to 24 mpg to break even in the cost of the fuel.

I'd like to see if Ford can get close to that with an Ecoboost Ranger but they backed out of the small truck segment in 2011. I'd take a newly designed Ranger over the other two trucks any day of the week but the only place where I could get get a Ecoboost Ranger or the Diesel ranger is anywhere but the US.

I have a neighbor with an Ecoboost F150 4-door. He says he gets about 22-24mpg on the highway, and about 19-20 around town, and that rig is already several years old. It can definitely be done.

They would have to do well over 30mpg with a diesel pickup to surpass that when you calculate the added service costs associated with running a diesel.

Maybe Mercedes should throw their Sprinter engine in a pickup truck...

Mercedes oil burners in Europe don't seem to know they're supposed to be slow and noisy. Some of the full size sedans they have will run 0-60 well under 5 seconds, and get 30mpg while doing it.

Slow and noisy is a thing of the past with mechanical injection the new injection systems and programming are nuts. The 6.6 dmax is essentially unchanged except injection system since introduction and its making 500 ft lbs more than it did then :o
