Anyone know where I can buy actual media (sand or glad) for my media blaster? Lowes sold me silica sand and my blaster doesn't like it.

Western Supply in Pasco sells sand blasting media.
I don't Text (at least not very well), I eat Blackberrys, and I only Twitter after sex...

No joke. You should come to the class I teach on silica dust. Millions of shards of glass.....

I just grab sand from the sand dunes by road 100. I run it through a screen (literally a small window screen from home depot). Only catch is it has to have been dry for a few days and I only get about the top 3 inches to avoid the moist stuff.

Also gotta have dry air. I run 3 filters to keep the supply very dry before it goes in.

Works great for paint and light rust in my cheap harbor frieght blaster. If you had heavy rust you'd want something a bit courser though to make it go faster.

Makes a small amount of dust, but you should be wearing a mask anyways.

My work sells it. Well, former work as of last Friday.
They sell tons of it to auto body shops etc. Various grits to choose from.
