FWIW....The Fab 4 setup looks like it really blocks air flow, is heavy and would be really hard to fix if you banged it up. Your current setup, minus the stringer looks like a good platform to build off of. It's your rig and $$, but maybe consider something sleek, functional, and cheap to build/repair.
