Pellet stove

Postby Lurch » Fri Oct 24, 2014 9:18 am

Looking for a decent sized pellet stove to heat the new shop. Anyone have one or know some one. I can't afford new and insurance isn't real keen on the idea of a wood stove.

I'm sure you have already seen the only one on CL right now.

I've been shopping. Cheapest place I have found for one installed is from Energy Source on Clearwater. The have a basic boxy one that holds a ton of pellets, but it's still over a $1500.

Costco has some too online.

Ya I emailed him. It's too small. Only good for 1700 sq ft. Still tempted but I don't think it would keep up.

I bought one of the Wood Pellet Products patio heaters like TJ Dave's. I plan to have a detachable chimney installed in the shop. I plan on just detaching the shop chimney when I take it camping and using the chimney that came with it.

I was in Templemans Meat Market last week, and got the stove for about $540 out the door, and it came with a free cover.

Have you looked for stoves in the Spokane Craigslist? You should be able to find a good used one for less than $600

Yes I have, I'll most likely end up heading that way in a few weeks to look but thought I would see if some one had one laying around or knew some one. Kinda short on time at the moment.

 I know you saw the rocket flame shooting up the chimney of that thing at Kamp Kaner. I'm very interested in your chimney plan. Build thread?

One heat setting: Blast Off.
That little pellet rocket should heat a shop pretty good!
